Get Well Soon Papa!

My Papa fell and broke his arm. It isn't healing as quickly as we would like which is delaying my Papa and Grandma's visit. They should be here right now. Since we know they always read the blog, the girls had a message for their Great Papa. We Love You! Get Well Soon Papa!

AZ Women's Expo

Me and my Mom went to the AZ Women's Expo yesterday. We had a good time, it was fun! Afterwards, we went to get some Mexican food at Garcia's and we each had a frozen Margarita. They were HUGE! I always enjoy our time together, I'm glad we went. AND, I entered the new car contests... maybe I could win Twice? Doubtful! LOL! But a girl can dream!

Fansite and Book Blog

As most of you know I LOVE Twilight!!! A year and a half ago I read the books and when I was looking up the author Stephenie Meyer to try and find some additional information about the books I came across a link on her website for Twilight Moms. I joined the site just in time to get involved with a gathering that was being planned to meet other Twilight Moms in our area. In March of 2008 I got together for the first time with ladies who share the same interests I do, and a new friendship was born. These ladies have become the best friends I've ever had. We don't just talk about Twilight anymore, we now talk about anything and everything.

Well back in May, I read a book I loved called Wings by Aprilynne Pike. I found out Aprilynne was going to be at the Fiesta Con and got in touch with her about meeting her to get my book signed. Espe came with me and we ended up sitting and talking with Aprilynne for a couple hours about anything and everything. I think from that moment an idea started forming in my head.

When Espe and I were at Twi Tour I asked her what she would think about starting a fansite for Wings and Aprilynne Pike. I don't think either of us thought too seriously about it that night, but as time went on we discussed it more and decided it was something we really wanted to do. Well last month we launched our fansite forum. Our website is called Late Bloomer Online and you can check it out HERE From the main page you can either go to our forum... or to our blog. As part of the site we started a book review blog too which is really exciting! My dream job would be to be a book reviewer/critic, so this is right up my alley. We are having so much fun posting reviews about books we love and we even have several author chats lined up! So come on.. visit the site and blog and sign up! I would love to have you!

Fun girls night at dinner and a movie. We went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and then to see Fame. We had a good time. The movie was okay. I really wanted to love it, but I didn't. The good conversation and fun times with friends made up for it!

Kids Fair

Twi Tour

I honestly do not even have the words to fully express or explain in any way, shape or form how awesome this girls weekend was with my besties at Twi Tour. I will let my pictures do most of the talking and explain some along the way, but this was honestly one of the best weekends I have ever had and I can't wait to do this again next year with the ladies!

Here is me and Melinda on our way to the Wig Wam for Twi Tour. We had just been at the Forever 21 they have there and it was HUGE. We bought a lot of fun things for our weekend.

The first night they had a concert and Gil Birmingham performed some songs. Some of the songs he said he had never performed in front of an audience before.

Chaske and Alex during their panel. They were so funny together. During our autographs I asked Chaske if he would be in costume for our photo op meaning no shirt on like the movie. He laughed and said, "Sorry, no costume." So I got up to Alex to get his autograph right afterwards and said "Alex, Chaske says you guys are going to be in costume for the photo op. That's awesome." He laughed and said, "Are you lying to me right now?" And then looked down to Chaske and said.. "Hey, did you say we were going to be in costume for the pictures?" And Chaske said, "I told them you would be." It was silly and funny. I still laugh when I think that I actually asked them that!

Chaske, Gil and Alex during their panel. It was funny... me, Melinda and Whit were filling out questions to ask the cast during the panel. All the sudden someone by us says, "What are you doing?" We turn around and it is Catherine Hardwick talking to us. I didn't get any good pictures of her, they all came out too dark. She helped us think of a question for Gil. She said to tell him that "Catherine told us you have a harem of girlfriends. How does that work and how do we apply?" We laughed so hard. When we got his autograph we asked him and she cracked up. But never really answered the question! LOL!

Carrie, Me, Espe and Melinda dressed up and ready for the celebrity breakfast. We had so much fun there. Chaske, Alex, Christian and Justin all came to our table and talked with us for a while. It was really cool to get to talk to them one on one.
